This study proposes a reading of the work "A hora da estrela", by Clarice Lispector(1998), based on concepts of sexual repression (USSEL, 1980; CHAUÍ, 1987), seen as a set of interdictions, permissions, norms, values and historically and culturally established rules to control the exercise of sexuality. The identity construction (BOURDIEU, 1998; 2012) of the repressed, opaque, opaque, virgin, innocuous, unadorned woman image reflects Macabéa’s childhood and the relationship with her religious aunt, under the influence of religion (FOUCAULT, 2013). Through the flashbacks, reported by a fictional narrator, and Macabéa’s (re)actions in the world, it is discussed how one of the last female characters by Lispector is developed, her abnegation to libido, desire and sex until her last breath reveals her whole existence. This analysis proposes a dialogue between Literature, Psychoanalysis and Philosophy, which is anchored in non-disciplinary applied linguistics (MOITA LOPES, 2006), as an attempt to reduce the distance between studies on language and literature, a problem in many courses of Letters. |
