There are various alternatives which firms may use to overcome their financial problems. One of these alternatives is financial restructuring. Financial restructuring can be evaluated in two different dimensions. As one of these dimensions is concerned about reorganizig the firm’s capital, the other dimension takes a different persrective to firms’ liabilities and requires drawing benefits from concept of financial leverage. In this respect, financial restructuring reflects a radical strategy that firms use to incerease performance and competitiveness. |
