Brucellosis, a common zoonotic infection in our country, affects multiple systems of the body. In this report we present a 30 year old male patient with spondylitis and bilateral psoas abscess due to brucellosis. Osteoarticular system involvement is the most common complication of brucellosis. Psoas abscess is rarely seen and generally occurs secondary to spondylodiscitis. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for the prognosis of brucella infections. Therefore brucellosis should be in the differential diagnosis of patients with psoas abscess. |
