Although they are relatively well known, the educational work of Camila Henríquez Ureña (Santo Domingo, 1894-1973) is barely discussed, despite their depth in the Cuban revolutionary educational reform and literary training of several generations in the United States and Cuba.To understand the importance of reading in the teaching of our teacher, covering the years 20 to 70 of the last century, we envision its Invitación a la lectura.
