Popis: The term "stress" has been widely used since the beginning of the twentieth century. The attempts to define it, however, are controversial. Before it became common in works on psychology, by the end of the World War II, its meaning was associated with "overload". According to Hans Seyle, stress appears in any disturbance of body's finctions, caused by harmful external conditions.
