Popis: The term “new normality” is frequently used in scientific debates to describe the current situation in the economy characterized by stagnation of the industry and business revenues, government intervention in the economy, credit cost depreciation as well as reduced consumer activity. At the same time, the population for the most part is satisfied with the state of affairs in the economy and their own financial situation. In our opinion, the “new normality” situation is caused by the weakening of innovation activities. The less innovations that can improve productivity are introduced into the economy the less products demanded by consumers are brought into the market. The lack of economic growth zones reduces the inequality in society and slackens the economic activity of the population. There are objective obstacles hampering the innovation and economic growth that could lead to tightening of the stagnation in the economy and transformation of the “new normality” into a long-term phenomenon.
