Popis: It is well known that today the low back pain accompanied by sciatica is an often meet cause of work incapacity. That is just one of the reasons for we decided to study this condition, the other being the idea of a very interesting therapeutic association between the McKenzie method for lumbar spine, Kinesio Taping and the physical therapy in thermal water in Băile Felix. We decided to sum the therapeutical effects of these three techniques in order to have a better rehabilitation. The study took place at the Clinical Rehabilitation Hospital from Băile Felix and at the physical therapy facility of the University of Oradea, and it included 24 patients from which 12 had the McKenzie, Kinesio taping and hydro physical therapy treatment and the other 12 patients had classic back school treatment, consisting in exercises according to the Williams protocol. In order to do this, for the first group at the beginning we evaluated the patients according to McKenzie method, and then applied the Kinesio Tex on the lumbar region. The next step consisted in the hydro physical therapy treatment, and after that the typical McKenzie exercises for Derangement II, disk hernia with sciatica and pain in the buttock and the mid third of the thigh. The other patients received only back school treatment, being in the hospital or PT facility for approximately one hour. The physical therapy sessions last only 12 days, the classic period of treatment time in a rehabilitation hospital.
