Popis: | Paeonia tenuifolia L. is a rare species in the Romanian flora, protected in two natural reservations: Zaul de Campie in Transilvania and Fantanita-Murfatlar in Dobrogea. In Banat this species is a remarkable and ancient pontic steppic element and can be found only in one station near Moldovita on mezozoic calcareous grounds. Comparatively with Transilvanian reservation where the steppic peony inhabits in derived mezzo-xerophitic meadows edified by Festuca sulcata and Brachipodium pinnatum, in Banat this species inhabits in communities belonging to Erysimo-Stipetum eriocaulis E. Schneider – Binder et. Al. 1970 and Festucetum sulcatae valesiacae REsm. 1970 associations. |
