| Popis: | Surgical retained foreign objects are a rare complication in surgical practice. The true incidence ofthis event is underestimated. Endoscopic surgery, monitoring and counting gauzes, are the main variablesthat have reduced their prevalence. After the retained foreign object is diagnosis can be solved in different ways depending on their size, quality, quantity, location, evolution, local commitment on neighboring organs and condition of the patient,among others. Thre clinical cases whith different estrategies for solving this problem are presented in this paper. It is important to know the risk factors and to have a standardise method for prevention. |
