Popis: | Different interpretations of the word, translated into the global diversity of languages, referred to orally or in writing, has been one of the most notoriously tangible examples of the impossibility of establishing unifying paradigms between different ethnic human groups, viz., the quintessence of what must be notified. The aim of this essay was to highlight that in matters of language and writing only consensus could force order. The incorporation of new words from foreign voices could produce a “Babel effect”, if due to our imitator idiosyncratic nature, we use such voices unceremoniously, more for comfort or snobbery than anything else. However, we cannot abstain to use them because the idea is to understand, to communicate, regardless of the abuse or not we make of them. This manifests itself both in everyday’s life and in scientific matters, and in this last area it seems questionable. |
