Popis: This study aims to investigate the profile of Preparatory School Administrators at universities. In the study, a general picture about the academic profile of Preparatory School Administrators is expected to be given as well as discussing their professional development opportunities. Qualitative research design was employed focusing mainly on “Documentation Analysis” and “Face to Face Interviews”. 172 Directors of Preparatory Schools and 215 assistant directors were examined during the document analysis via university web sites. 8 Preparatory School administrators, who worked at both public and foundation universities in Turkey participated in the study. During face to face interviews, participants were asked to share their experiences and observations at Preparatory Schools as well as other schools that they worked with. Findings indicated that a limited number of directors have PhD degrees and the disciplines they had their degrees is extended on a wide spectrum. 59 assistant directors out of 215 have MA degrees. It appeared in the conversations that a majority of the administrators working in foundation universities continue a Master Program.
