Popis: Although the concepts of career barriers and glass ceiling syndrome have been translated from western languages, it is a phenomenon frequently encountered in business life. Throughout history, women have assumed certain roles at every stage of business life. Over time, changes occurred in the social structure and women were quickly included in the labor market. The developments that have arisen due to social differentiation have brought some problems with them. The aim of this research is to try to determine the views of the female personnel working in Posta Telgraf Teşkilatı A.Ş. about career barriers and the perception of glass ceiling syndrome. This study was carried out with quantitative research methods. For the literature research, a document review was made and a conceptual framework was created. In the statistical study based on the questionnaire technique, the cross-sectional survey model was used. Data collection was carried out under the control of the researcher (on a digital platform). For this, questions were created in Google Docs format and transferred to digital media. Introductory information is also included in order to better understand the subject. Then, information was collected from volunteers who contributed to the research. The sample of the research consists of 242 female employees working in PTT centers on the European Side of Istanbul. According to the findings, “There are not enough women managers to be role models for women.” Judgment (3.81), “Business life in the institution is governed by the rules of men.” Judgment (3.55), "Men are offered more opportunities and possibilities in their career advancement." For this reason, Rule (3.78) states that "Female employees work harder than men and wait longer to advance in their profession". (3.78), his reasoning improved. It has been concluded that the concept of glass ceiling syndrome is effective in all complex applications that are frequently encountered in business life and that negatively affect women's career plans, which are difficult to overcome and require patience.
