Popis: Sedimentation is able to obstruct the coral reef growth, moreover it can cause corals death. This research was conducted in Lampung Bay. The objectives of this study is to observe efect of sedimentation on coral reef in Lampung Bay. Ten stations were selected for the observation and measurement. The measurement of sedimentation rate was conducted using sediments traps which is applied in the station of coral reef observation for 20 days. The transect square with size 1 x 1 m2 was used for the observation of coral reef. The method of regression was applied for correlation analysis between sedimentation and coral reef. The results of this study showed that the rate of sedimentation in all observation stations ranged from 3.0937 - 44.292 mg cm-2 day-1. The effect can be categorized as low to medium and medium to heavy. The condition of coral reef in Lampung Bay is classified in damaged up to good. The percentage of coral cover in observation stations ranged between 8.75% -60.85%. The result of regression analysis showed that the sedimentation has negative impact of life coral reef in Lampung Bay.
