Popis: The link between sustainability and Agroecology is tied for the rational use of natural resources. So, it was objective permeate discussions to address questions about the agroecological extension and how this fits into the perspective of the approaches to sustainable development. The Agroecological extension consists from the planned intervention strategies for creating sustainable rural development, with emphasis on popular participation in family farming and the principles of Agroecology as guidance for raising and farming styles environmental and economically sustainable. In this sense, the discourse and practice of a new extension, based on agroecological principles and aimed at sustainable rural development, present a scenario that involves assumptions about the relationship between society and nature, which deserves to be studied by the approach of Agroecology. Therefore, it can be defined as the primary source of guidance for the performance of our operations in support of sustainable rural development. Rural development should be determined from the participation and etnoecossytemic identity according to each locality to be considered.
