| Popis: | Se realizó una revisión actualizada acerca de los efectos del tabaquismo y sus complicaciones en todo el organismo. Se revisó el tema del tabaquismo como drogodependencia y enfermedad, así como sus efectos sobre los diferentes aparatos y sistemas. En el presente trabajo se hace énfasis en la importancia que tienen médicos, enfermeras y otros profesionales de la salud pública como ejemplo ante sus pacientes y su población, al constituir importantes fuentes de influencia para lograr cambios positivos en este sentido.An updated review about the effects of smoking and its complications for the body was made. The topic of smoking was addressed in terms of drug-dependence and disease as well as the effects on various systems and apparatuses. The present paper emphasized the importance of physicians, nurses and other health professionals as real examples for their patients and the whole population since they are essential sources of reference to attain positive changes in this regard. |
