Popis: Introduction: Chronic back pain is a prevalent health problem in nursing job. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of interventional education based on psychological factors among nurses suffering from chronic low back pain. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental research. The population of this study consisted of 84 nurses suffering from chronic back pain and working in Valiasser hospital in Tehran.The recruited nurses were randomly assigned into two groups of intervention and control (each 42 individuals). Three scales of pain assessment, mental health and quality of life were used to collect data at beginning of the study and three months after educational. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Totally 82 nurses (each group with 42 nurses) with mean age of 32 and 31.5 years in intervention and control group took part in the study. Two groups were not significantly different before intervention (P> 0/05). After the intervention in comparison with before, the mean scores of vitality were improved from 64/64 to 77/26, mental health from 70/28 to 80/95, role limitations due to emotional problems from 64/28 to 87/30 and social performance from 69/64 to 85/11 indicating a significant effect of education (P
