This is a supplementary study to previous reports (Chen and Wang, 1999; Wang and Chen, 2001). The pollen morphology of sixteen taxa belonging to four families, collected from Yuenyang Lake Nature Preserve, was examined under light and scanning electron microscopes in the present study. The following are pollen classes obtained on the basis of the pollen aperture: pantoporate, 3-colporate and 4-7-colporate pollen. The results could be useful in the reconstruction of vegetation history around the Yuenyang Lake. |
