Popis: Increase of CO2 generation is widely regarded as one of the 21st century catastrophes. According to recent global reports. Iran is known as the seventh country in the world with regards to CO: emission. Utilizing renewable energies, have been suggested in recent years due to international environmental regulations, in order to control the CO2 emission level and global temperature increase. In this research, GDP, Total Primary Energy Supply and Renewable Energy Supplyof OECD countries and Iran are studied and a regression analysis is conducted to assess the influence of TPES and RES on the CO: emission level. Furthermore, three scenarios are assumed for the future of energy in Iran to estimate the CO2 emission in 2025. The first scenario is assuming that all businesses are working as usual until 2025. In the second scenario it is suggested that with improvements and increase of renewable energies utilization to meet development programs of Iran, the level of TPES would be constant until 2025. Finally, in the third scenario in order to meet goals of climate change Paris agreement, Iran should decrease the level of CO2 emission by 4, 8 or 12 percent in 2025. In the end, some suggestions for moving in the sustainable development pathway are presented for Iran.
