This article describes digitization of old Romanian texts, problems at their recognition, and motivates the necessity to create specifi c electronic resources mirroring the history of the standard Romanian language. We provide also statistics of results at recognizing a Romanian text of the 19th century by modern software, and we propose a technology for creation of linguistic lexicon for Moldavian Cyrillic script of 1967–1989, starting from modern (standard) Romanian lexicon. This technology is based on transliteration and parallel texts alignment. |
