| Popis: | Foregrounded on the theoretical and methodological contributions of the new political history, current paper defends the hypothesis that an analysis of electoral processes makes the historian understand the electoral behavior and, consequently, the political culture that inform the electors‟ ways of participation. An investigation on elections, therefore, reveals the political concepts of the voters and indicates pathways for the comprehension of value systems triggered in their participation of political disputes. On a wider basis, it may be stated that an analysis of elections may even enlighten several aspects on the world view or on the mentality of the electorate. |
