Transport is one of the indispensable parts of the urban environment, and the development of transport leads to the improvement of the economy of individual countries and the improvement of people's living standards, but it is also one of the most important factors of environmental pollution, which has a negative impact on people's health. Road traffic is one of the biggest polluters of the environment with the emission of exhaust gases that pollute the air, but also impairs the quality of life due to noise and vibrations. Transport infrastructure designers are faced with the demanding task of reconciling the conflicting goals of transport infrastructure development according to traffic demand on the one hand and reducing the negative effects of operationalizing the transport system with their solutions. Accordingly, various models have been developed that predict the level of noise, air pollution and other negative consequences of traffic and have become a frequently used tool in the evaluation of variant solutions. In this diploma thesis, the applicability of ecological and economic parameters resulting from microsimulation modeling was evaluated in the evaluation of variant intersection solutions. Observed environmental parameters are parameters of air pollution, specifically carbon monoxide emissions, nitrogen oxides emissions and volatile organic compounds emissions, and economic fuel consumption. Variant solutions of level intersections that were observed are intersection without traffic lights, traffic lighted intersection and roundabouts.
