The results of (very rare) numerical studies, although revealing details of the spatial and temporal structure of the vortex current, are based on the simulation of a one single case in the Kvarner Bay. As the availability of measurements has increased over the last 20 years, the aim of this master's thesis was to use existing measurements of Pula Airport, Rijeka Airport and Zagreb Airport to find structures that fit the horizontal atmospheric rotor. As a result, it has been shown that "Mohorovičić" rotors can be identified using the available measurements. The detailed characteristics of the horizontal rotor for three cases were described, where it was indicated that the horizontal rotors are a dynamic structure in space and time. To form, specific weather conditions together with a specific terrain configuration and the presence of the sea is required. The available meteorological data sets have provided new climatic characteristics of this phenomenon, which certainly contributes to the spread of knowledge about Mohorovičić rotors and bora within the Kvarner Bay.
