| Popis: | RESUMEN: El objetivo principal de este trabajo es el estudio de ecuaciones en derivadas parciales que modelan procesos de difusión y de reacción-difusión. Se estudiará la solución de la ecuación de difusión desde una interpretación probabilística mediante el movimiento Browniano. Por otro lado, se estudiará con detalle la Ecuación del Calor, un modelo básico de ecuación de difusión lineal, mediante el cálculo de la llamada solución fundamental de esta ecuación que resultará de gran utilidad para encontrar soluciones a distintos Problemas de Cauchy para la Ecuación del Calor. Además, se analizará la existencia y unidad de soluciones. Por último, se introducirá un ejemplo de ecuación de reacción-difusión no lineal, la ecuación de Fisher-KPP que se utiliza para modelar la propagación de especies. Centraremos el estudio en la búsqueda de soluciones de tipo onda viajera y en el problema de existencia de soluciones. Veremos que podremos garantizar esta existencia en un espacio de Banach determinado. ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper is to study some partial differential equations that model diffusion and reaction-diffusion phenomena. We will study the solution of the diffusion equation from a probabilistic interpretation through the Brownian motion. On the other hand, we will study the Heat Equation, a basic linear diffusion model, through the calculus of the fundamental solution of the Heat Equation, which will be very useful for finding solutions of several Cauchy Problems of the heat equation. In adittion, the existence and uniqueness of solutions will be analyzed. Lastly, we will introduce an example of a nonlinear reaction-difusion equation: the Fisher-KPP equation, used for describing the propagation of species. We will focus our study on searching for travelling waves solutions and on the problem of the existence of solution. We will see that we will be able to guarantee a solution on a certain Banach space. Grado en Matemáticas |
