Empirical estimation of genomic boundaries of proximal promoter regions in Prunus persica by: Approach 1: Sequence conservation on aligned upstream sequences of syntenic orthologous genes from Prunus species. Approach 2: Distribution of predicted cis-regulatory elements in upstream sequences after matching DNA-motifs annotated in plants. Approach 3: Sequence conservation after mapping polymorphisms observed in diversity panels.
