| Popis: | Regular cases of scurvy were reported but the prevalence of vitamin C deficiency among hospitalized subjects is sparsely assessed.Objectives: Evaluate the prevalence of vitamin C deficiency among hospitalized patients and search for clinical signs of scurvy and associated factors.Methods: Epidemiological, observational in routine care, prospective and monocentric study performed in the department of internal medicine at a hospital in Paris area between May and November 2014.Results: Out of 60 patients enrolled, 70% were deficient (serum ascorbic acid level (SAAL) |
