School-age children develop significantly physically, emotionally and cognitively and are proven to be the most suitable population for adopting proper nutritional practices, knowledge and attitudes as well as lifestyle habits which acquired in childhood continue into later life and are necessary for a proper growth and development along with preservation of health. The aim of this thesis was to assess nutrition-related practices, knowledge, attitudes and lifestyle habits among pupils from the 5th to the 8th grade of the Skradin Elementary School for the purpose of comparison with intake recommendations and the possibility of raising the level of knowledge, as well as promoting and improving proper nutritional and lifestyle habits through education. The research was voluntary and anonymous and was carried out by filling in a one-time questionnaire. It included 58 respondents of whom 55 % were boys and 45 % were girls. The results showed a mismatch between nutritional and lifestyle habits and nutritional knowledge and attitudes of the respondents. It is necessary to reduce the time of using electronic devices and increase physical activity, the number of daily and cooked meals, the consumption of fruits and vegetables and also fish. It is recommended to educate the examined population for possible improvements.
