Popis: | The aim of this paper is to identify the causes of the spread and features of the functioning of the religious marketplace in the Christian and Islamic segments of the Ukraine.Research methodology. When analyzing the features of the religious market, an integrated method is used that combines cultural, religious studies and marketing approaches.Results. Since the beginning of the 90s of the 20th century in Ukraine there has been a rather powerful market for religious services in the Christian and non-Christian environments. The market is connected with the so-called post-Soviet religious Renaissance, when the number of believers of traditional and non-traditional religious organizations in Ukraine began to grow rapidly. At present, the process of church growth has been somewhat suspended, but the market for religious services continues to evolve. The Ukrainian consumer (not necessarily a religious person) can find, for example, Orthodox fairs useful and relatively inexpensive food, products of folk craftsmen, etc. A significant demand for religious services among Ukrainians is connected not only with religiousness as such, but with respect to the ancient traditions that dictate the need for certain rituals in human life.Novelty. The paper presents an attempt to analyze the market of religious services in Ukraine in comparison with its confessional segments.The practical significance. The material in this article can be used in developing the content of educational disciplines in the economy of religion. Виявлені особливості ринку релігійних товарів і послуг у християнському (католицькому, православному, протестантському) і мусульманському сегментах, проаналізована економічна діяльність релігійних організацій як надавачів певних послуг населенню (що не обов’язково має належати до певної релігійної організації), визначені причини поширення релігійних послуг в умовах секуляризованого суспільства. |
