Popis: | Ugradbeni kardioverter defibrilator (ICD) služi kao direktna terapijska metoda u svrhu prevencije nagle srčane smrti. Izuzev funkcije prekida ventrikularnih malignih aritmija, sadrži funkcije elektrostimulacije te zapisa aritmija. Istražili smo opće karakteristike te rizične faktore u populaciji s ugrađenim ugradbenim kardioverter defibrilatorom tijekom dvogodišnjeg perioda te u dvogodišnjem praćenju uspostavili povezanost rizičnih faktora te aktivacije uređaja i ukupnog mortaliteta. Aktivacija uređaja podrazumijeva šok ili ATP. Žene su znatno manje zastupljene u primaoca uređaja (14,9%). Biventrikularna stimulacija povezana je s manjom učestalošću aktivacije uređaja (p Implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) serves as a direct therapeutic method for the prevention of sudden cardiac death. In addition to the function of interrupting ventricular malignant arrhythmias, it works as pacemaker and arrhythmia recorder. We investigated the general characteristics and risk factors in the population with an implanted cardioverter defibrillator during a 2-year period, and in a 2-year follow-up we established the connection between risk factors and device activation, as well total mortality. Device activation was assessed as shock or ATP. Women were considerately less represented in device implantation (14,9%). Biventricular stimulation was associated with a lower frequency of device activation (p |
