Popis: | International audience; Worldwide, metropolitan cities are planning the creation of new downtowns, either on brownfield or greenfield, to achieve more polycentric structures and propose new concepts of compact and dense development countering urban sprawl. Such is the project of the lower Var Valley in the Nice-Côted'Azur metropolitan area. A government urban development corporation is thus fostering the emergence of two new neighbourhoods, Méridia and Grand-Arenas, which, together with preexisting urban fragments, will make up the second downtown after the city-centre of Nice. |
