Popis: | Designing newbuildings in historic environments has become a controversial subject in manyfields and around the world without a definitive conclusion. Although addresseddifferently in each country, and regardless of how far the history of thatsociety goes, the way new buildings in historic environments should be designedis constantly on the agenda. The subject is addressed in detail especially ininternational agreements on the conservation and sustainability of historicenvironments. However, it is determined that the legal aspects of conservationof historic environments and their relationship with new buildings has not beensufficiently discussed in Turkey. This study aims to find out how this subjectis addressed in international agreements and to relate these with Turkish historiccities. |
