The aim of this work was the automation of configuration management process. A growing number of software engineers and development products in companies also determines increasing need for configuration management. Therefore, the automation of this process would help companies to save their time and money. Because of that a system prototype was developed which is capable of creating and configuring required configuration management items automatically for new projects. The resulting automation process is inordinary fast but not always a good quality one. For applications that have complicated architectural needs automatic configuration management is performed worse, therefore, involvement of DevOps specialist is mandatory in these type of cases. However, a sufficiently developed system of this kind could be an extremely useful and powerful tool in the future. |
