| Popis: | La construcción de un embarcadero de mineral en la bahía del Hornillo de Águilas (Región de Murcia) acabaría conformando un referente del patrimonio industrial nacional. Su proyección pasó por la mano de varios ingenieros que propusieron soluciones diversas, hasta que finalmente en 1903 se ejecutaría siguiendo las disposiciones enmarcadas por Muguruza, Blanco y el inglés Gillman. Sería precisamente este último quieren realizaría un viaje por País Vasco y Cantabria destinado a documentar opciones que pudieran aplicarse en su desarrollo, datos que tomó en un diario que ilustró con dibujos y fotografías. Cuestiones que Gillman completó con la toma de instantáneas durante su realización. Todo ello conforma actualmente un patrimonio documental que permite conocer mejor el sistema finalmente adoptado en su realización y obtener nuevos datos que facilitan la comprensión tanto de su configuración, como la de los modelos que estudió en la franja Cantábrica. The building of a mineral jetty in the bay of Hornillo from Águilas (Region of Murcia) ended up becoming a referent of industrial national heritage. Its building came across several engineers that proposed different solutions until finally, in 1903, they would be executed following the provisions embodied by Muguruza, Blanco and the Englishman Gillman. It was the latter that travelled through the Basque Country and Cantabria in order to document options that could apply to its development, data that he gathered in a diary that he illustrated with drawings and pictures. Gillman completed these matters taking snapshots during its execution. All of this currently comprises a documentary heritage that allows a better understanding of the system that was finally adopted in its development. Besides, it allows to obtain new data which make easier the knowledge of its configuration, as well as that of the models studied in the Cantabrian coast. |
