Popis: International audience; Little is known about the birdlife in and around thewaters of Juan Fernández archipelago off Chile.During chumming sessions near Robinson CrusoeIsland, also known as Masatierra, in March 2013(see Shirihai et al 2015ab), we studied the endemicbreeding subspecies of White-bellied Storm PetrelFregetta grallaria segethi (hereafter segethi). AroundRobinson Crusoe, breeding of this subspecies isonly proven for nearby Santa Clara Island and perhapsother rocks (Murphy 1936, Brooke 2004). Italso breeds in the DesventuradasIslands, Chile(Flores et al 2014).
