Socio-emotional learning is defined as the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. There are several models of socio-emotional learning, and the most famous is the CASEL model, which as key groups of competencies emphasizes social awareness, self-awareness, self-control, skills essential in relationships and responsible decision-making. The acquisition of social-emotional skills in an individual contributes to the reduction of behavioral problems and emotional disturbances, more positive social behaviors and relationships with others, and the improvement of academic achievement. Therefore, numerous researches have been conducted that have led to the realization of the importance of encouraging the development of social and emotional competencies, and various programs have been introduced in working with children. The family is the child's primary community in which he develops a secure base, meets the first feelings, creates a sense of belonging. The development of interpersonal relationships outside the family occurs in kindergarten, establishing and maintaining relationships with peers. The acquired knowledge is of great importance in the preschool period, it enables the child to communicate, negotiate, accept, cooperate. The most famous social-emotional learning program is the PATHS program. By emphasizing the importance of social-emotional learning, the complete and healthy development of the child is achieved.
