Popis: The use of heat transfer equipment in the industry is height, making that, the implementation of computational advanced tools with new and old thermodynamic models, necessary for build sustainable energy model. In the context of the energy sustainable industries, the energy efficiency is a corner stone to reduce fuel consumption. In this way the performance of heat exchanger is a key factor. This work aims to contribute to energy efficiency, addressing the main goal to a multi-objective optimization of the thermal and hydraulic design of heat exchangers of shell and tubes. It is implemented the meta-heuristic technic of genetic algorithm, using two fitness functions, number of entransy dissipation and total cost. Finally it is obtained the Pareto front with multiple solutions, these solutions where adjusted to the operating conditions.
