Popis: | International audience; Monotonic mechanical properties and fatigue properties of plant fiber composites under different kinds of water aging conditions have been widespread studied in the existing literature [Jeannin 2019]. Results show a significant effect of moisture content on the static mechanical properties. The present work aims to study the influence of different aging conditions on the dynamic mechanical properties of different kinds of plant fiber composites. It includes hygrothermal aging (70% (RH) relative humidity at 70℃) and water-immersion aging at ambient temperature in distilled water (W), 6 wt% sodium bicarbonate solution (NH) and 6 wt% sodium chloride solution (NC). Among them, RH and W represent indoor and outdoor condition, respectively. NC is comparable with seawater condition and NH is found to enhance the static mechanical properties of flax composites [Fiore 2017]. Different types of plant fiber reinforced GreenPoxy matrix composites are tested such as cross-ply flaxtape composites (FGCR), unidirectional flaxtape composites (FGUD), satin and twill hemp fabric composites (H4 and H6). The neat resin (GE) is also tested. The damping properties of these plant fiber composites tested at 1 Hz and ambient temperature before and after aging are shown in Figure 1. |
