Popis: Brussels is a rich city but poverty and social inequalities in health. Housing is an important determinant of health and quality of life. The socio-ecological model of health and sustainability are approaches that use local and regional resources to improve the quality of life and global health of people. Objectives : To draw a picture of the local dynamic in housing/health: resources, problems, interactions. To provide recommendations for improving health and quality of live Methodes : Qualitative research. 11 semi-directive interviews of people working in local institutions engaged in housing actions. Questionnaires about : roles and activities, resources, problems faced, perceived interactions housing/health, perceived problems of inhabitants, prospects. Discourse analysis, summary, report writing and publication. Oral communication of results to local people, politicians and housing/social/health professionals Results : Local institutions and associations : working in partnership perceived as the most important resource. Content of networking according to people's needs. Presence of many active actors in the housing, but the problems persist. Public meeting characterized by social difficulties, socio-cultural diversity, health problems. Housing as a complex problems at different levels having health and wellbeing impacts : problematic macro - meso and micro-social (unsave housing, rent increases, lack of strong public authority, abuse owners, social conflicts, etc.) Validation of results by the population experiencing housing crisis and various quality of life problems. 30 recommendations contributing to improve housing-related health and quality of life at different levels, in a sustainable perspective. Conclusion : Local resources and partnership exist but do not face growing problems adequately. Health is a political priority. Housing as well. However, health and housing are not. Hence, the dispersion of forces and finances. It is necessary to work at different levels: 1. Sensitize policy makers so that both "health and housing" issues become one political priority ; build healthy public policy 2. Strengthen partnership and local resources 3. Support inhabitants and professionals in - strengthening their perception of "health and housing" relationship - developing community projects based on local and external assets.
