Popis: 106 - 7. SUMMARY in this study, VO2 maxof 31 oarsmen from Turkish National A Team has beentested and compared with the body somatotypes. Averageage of the subjects is 21.29 SD ± 1.99 and their averageweight is 78.77 kg SD ± 6.4. Also it has been found thattheir average aerobic strengh is 315.95 watt SD ± 28.80. in this thesis, VÜ2 max has been detennined by an aerobic strength test which lasts 7 minutes. Gjessing rowing ergometer was used for aerobic strength test. Their vital capacities were measured with a spirometer. Antropometric measurements; weight, lenght (height, upper body, arm, hand and foot), skin twist thicknesses (triceps, supscapula, biceps, suprailliac, thigh, calf, chest, abdomen), diameters (humerus, femur, biacromial, bitrochanteric) and circumferences (shoulder, chest, waist, abdomen, thigh, hip, knee, calf, ankle, wrist, biceps, arm) have been taken. As a result, it has been found that body somatotypes of Turkish National A Team oarsmen are mezomorphic - ectomorphic.
