Fossil decapods from the Forcall Formation (Lower Cretaceous, Aptian) of the Oliete Sub-basin (Maestrazgo Basin) are reported. Specimens have been collected from the localities of Josa and Obón (Teruel) in the Aragonese branch of the Iberian Cordillera, NE Spain. The taxon Atherfieldastacus magnus (M'Coy, 1849) is by far the most common species in several stratigraphic levels. Minor components of the decapod fauna include Astacidae indet., Oncopareia sp.?, Pleuronassa sp.?, Diogenidae indet., Meyeria ornata (Phillips, 1829), and Mithracites vectensis Gould, 1859. Taphonomic observations suggest that all taxa were living in the surrounding area and were entombed by obrution events that accumulated sediment and bioclasts within the offshore environment.
