This report describes the results of the first periodic verification of the methods and devices developed by WP3, WP4, and WP5. The assessment of the different methods in real settings is described. Methods and devices are tested on a non-aggregated basis. At the current stage of the project, the validation mainly regards the different pieces (method and devices) separately and is mainly focused to attest that they work as expected. Data used for testing are mainly from publicly available databases, and widely accepted by the scientific community for algorithm benchmarking. The reference data acquired in acquisition campaign held in Pisa in May 2014 were also used whenever needed. |
