Popis: PFC del programa Erasmus elaborat a Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences The aim of this study is to demonstrate the validity or invalidity of the equation of diffusion of Hollomon and Jaffe or Larson Miller. To do this, we will use 4 steels with different carbon contents and varying the temparature and the time of sintering, we will proceed to the final conclusions. These will come defined by 4 ways: 1 .- Graphs hardness versus distance (from outside to inside of material to study) 2 .- The depth of decarburization 3 .- The grain size of each material 4 .- The carbon content Once analyzed and studied, all the experimental results conclude that Hollomon and Jaffe is valid for the following parameters: carbon content, the grain size and the depth of decarburization. However this equation is a very rough diffusion law which is not valid for the hardness.
