| Popis: | Els camps de concentració franquistes han estat dins la recerca historiogràfica un tema fins al moment poc estudiat. Per aquesta raó, el present treball du a terme una investigació que doti a la societat de suficient nou coneixement d'un dels episodis més foscos i desconeguts de la història d'Espanya. Focalitzant l'atenció en el cas del Camp de Concentració de la Seu Vella de Lleida s'explicarà quin era el context sociopolític que va propiciar la creació de dit camp, com s'articulava l'entramat concentracionari franquista al llarg dels territoris conquerits, les vivències d'un seguit de supervivents directes d'aquest episodi, així com els efectes en la població civil de de Lleida. En aquest sentit, els àmbits estudiats reflecteixen la brutalitat del nou règim victoriós i deixa palesa la complexitat d'un entramat burocràtic que va provocar l'internament de més de mig milió de presoners arreu de l'Estat espanyol i a més de sis mil presos al Castell de la Seu Vella. The Francoist concentration camps have been a quite an unknown topic in historiographic research. For this reason, this research tries to conduct an investigation that gives society new knowledge of one of the darkest and unknown chapters of the Spain’s history. Focusing on the case of the Old Cathedral of Lleida Concentration Camp, it will be explained what the socio-political context was that fostered the creation of the camp aforementioned; how other Francoist concentration camps were articulated throughout the conquered territory; the stories of some direct survivors; and the effects in the civil population of Lleida. In this sense, the areas studied reflect the brutality of the victorious new regime and reveals the complexity of a bureaucratic and organizational framework that led to the imprisonment of more than half a million prisoners throughout Spain and more than six thousand arrested at the Castle of the Seu Vella. |
