This paper aims to inform about the economic implications of gender inequality. It aims on providing information on three objectives i.e. global scenario of gender inequality, Indian scenario of gender inequality and the government policies undertaken by the central government of India with respect to gender inequalities. For the global scenario, we have used regression on the GDP of 40 different countries with the female to male primary enrolment, female to male secondary enrolment and labour participation ratio. For the interstate scenario, we have found data on the gender inequality in education, gender inequality in health and gender inequality in income and employment. |
