Popis: Burning wood logs in stoves is a highly transient phenomenon with several overlapping steps : drying, pyrolysis, combus'on of the vola'les, and combus'on of the charcoal. One of the most cri'cal step regarding pollutants emissions is at the beginning of the pyrolysis phase, when the produc'on of vola'les from the pyrolysis of the logs is at its maximum rate. As emission standards are becoming more stringent, developments of stoves by mere trials and errors are not sufficient anymore. This is especially true for the most innova've designs. Numerical simula'ons can help iden'fy the shortcomings of the studied stoves.
