Popis: Présentation Poster; National audience; With ever growing usage of internet, power consumption due to ICT infrastructure is also in its peak value. Explosive increase of global network traffic leads to network designer to build a network architecture which is over provisioned in resources like bandwidth, memory and so on. This over provisioning leads to high energy consumption by the network infrastructure. In fact, networking is reason behind almost one third of the total energy consumption caused by ICT. In this presentation we propose an algorithm which focuses to facilitate power management at network level. This algorithm provides an optimum data plane as well as control plane to regulate the usage of different routers and links while giving the traffic demand requirements an upmost priority. Our work focuses on how to handle realistic traffic demand and also provide a more energy efficient, green architecture at the same time with a centralized approach using the concept of software defined network (SDN). We propose a heuristic algorithm based on genetic algorithm in order to provide a good solution energy efficiency wise. Simultaneously, the parameters of genetic algorithm are tuned and adjusted by using Design of Experiment (DoE) method and also offer an optimal set of values for the parameters of genetic algorithm. The interest of this approach is shown through different case studies
