Popis: | Visoka incidencija KBS predstavlja veliki teret za zdravstveni sustav i ekonomiju. Ateroskleroza je glavni uzročnik KBS, iako patofiziološki mehanizam nije do kraja razjašnjen. Koronarna bolest srca javlja se zbog smanjenog dotoka krvi do srčanog mišića kao posljedica opstrukcije koronarnih arterija. Klinički se manifestira u obliku angine pektoris, akutnog koronarnog sindroma i iznenadne srčane smrti. Liječenje KBS se zasniva na prevenciji i farmakološkoj terapiji. Čimbenici rizika koje povezujemo sa KBS jesu povišeni krvni tlak, pušenje, šećerna bolest i hiperkolesterolemija. Promjena životnog stila kao prestanak pušenja može povoljno utjecati na ishod bolesti kod pacijenata sa KBS. Svakodnevna, umjerena tjelovježba i kotrolirana dijeta mogu ubrzati pospješiti rehabilitaciju i smanjiti sveukupnu smrtnost. Sukladno novim smjernicama, kontrola krvnog tlaka u razinama High incidence of coronary heart disease(CHD) presents a great burden for health system and economy. Atherosclerosis is the main cause of CHD, although the pathopyhsiological mechanism is not yet fully understood. Coronary heart disease is caused by reduced perfusion of myocard due to obstruction of coronary arteries. CHD is clinically presented in angina pectoris, acute coronary syndrome and sudden cardiac death. CHD therapy is based on prevention and pharmacotherapy. Risk factors that are associated with CHD are: hypertension, smoking, diabetes and hypercolesterolemia. Lifestyle changes like smoking cessation can lead to better outcome for patients with CHD.
