Teaching initiative for the promotion of entrepreneurship in the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology

Popis: Este trabajo describe el desarrollo y resultados preliminares de la iniciativa docente desarrollada en el Máster Universitario en Psicología General Sanitaria (MUPGS) de la Universidad Europea de Madrid con el objetivo de promover el emprendimiento. La iniciativa consiste en el desarrollo de un Trabajo de Fin de Máster (TFM) en grupo cuyo objetivo en desarrollar un plan de empresa en el ámbito de la Psicología General Sanitaria. Para el desarrollo de la acción se establecieron tres fases: puesta en marcha de formación en planes de empresa, desarrollo de un plan de empresa original en el área de psicología de la salud y defensa del plan de empresa ante un tribunal de expertos. Hasta el momento, 214 estudiantes del MUPGS han desarrollado su proyecto. Los resultados disponibles muestran que esta iniciativa incrementa la intención de los estudiantes de emprender en el ámbito (del 26% al 44%). Además, los datos disponibles de egresados muestran que tras la finalización del MUPGS un elevado porcentaje de alumnos decide crear su propia empresa
The present work describes the process of development of a teaching methodology introduced in the Master of General Health Psychology at the European University of Madrid. This methodology pretends to promote the entrepreneurship. The methodology consists of the development of a master thesis aimed at developing a business plan in the field of clinical and health psychology. The process consisted of three phases: the implementation of specific training in business planning, the development (in groups of students) of an original business plan in the field of health/clinical psychology and the public defence of the business plan. So far, 214 students have developed and presented their business plan. Results show that the present initiative increases the entrepreneurial initiative of the students (from 26% to 44%).
