Popis:	Industrial symbiosis (IS) is a form of supply chain cooperation in industrial networks in order to achieve collective benefits by leveraging each other’s by-products and sharing services and utilities. This paper investigates the concept of IS from the perspective of supply chain coordination (SCC). For this purpose a theoretical framework is built based on SCC aspects, which is subsequently used to analyze a case study. We conclude that research is scant on operational issues and trade-offs as well as on challenges in terms of logistical integration. Also small-scale examples are barely studied or modeled.
