Regarding cultural anthropology and musicology, he has focused his research on the poets-singers from Brazil, in collaboration with the Occitan Research Center CORDAE/La Talvera (www.talvera.org). He defended his theses in 2006 : "Cantadores, improvising poets from the Northeast of Brazil".
