Popis: Home for Life is the first of six single-family houses in the ModelHome 2020 project, an experiment which investigates how good IEQ and energy performance can be achieved with specific measures. A family has occupied Home for Life for a year, and the detailed measurements of daylight, indoor climate and energy performance from the first year are reported. The house will be zero carbon based on an energy optimized design and building components and building-integrated production of energy. Daylight conditions are good, based on both qualitative interviews with the family and measurements of daylight factor in the main rooms. IAQ and thermal conditions are acceptable with further options for optimisations. The family express satisfaction with the house and emphasize the daylight conditions and the fresh air from natural ventilation when they describe their experiences. The target of good IEQ and energy performance is achieved.
